Living in a clean, decluttered and organized space is essential for me and my family. Even with four little ones, we’ve managed to keep our home clutter-free and tidy. It’s the best feeling and I truly believe that anyone can transform their home one Tiny and Tidy step at a time—that’s where the name comes from! Here are my top 10 cleaning must-haves to help you get started.
Using an easy-to-carry storage caddy will make cleaning feel less daunting. My cleaning caddy has baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, Bar Keepers Friend, Easy-Off, S.O.S pads, a lint roller, Windex, Mr. Clean, Bleach, Tide Powder, a sponge and gloves in it. I usually buy products in bulk and refill smaller bottles.
Bar Keepers Friend is a great multipurpose cleanser. You can use it to scrub down your sinks and tub. I’ve also used it to remove stains from my countertop and it’s perfect for cleaning the range. It usually does the job, but I’ll use Easy-Off for stubborn stains.
If you have a dirty oven or food stuck on your stove top, this cleaner will do the job. I simply spray it on and let it sit anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on how dirty the range is. I’ll then lightly scrub with a damp S.O.S pad and wipe it off. It’s extremely powerful and my go-to for deep cleaning our range.
Since you don’t use chemicals with these cloths (just water), I like to use them on a daily basis for wiping down counters, appliances and tabletops. They also work really well on windows and mirrors. (I use microfibre cloths when deep cleaning).
