Best LEGO Ninjago Sets

You’ll find the best LEGO Ninjago sets at Walmart Canada. Here are our personal favourites!

While LEGO sets often focus on established media properties, like Batman, Harry Potter, or Star Wars, the LEGO Company has some great in-house brands too. Perhaps the most popular is LEGO Ninjago, a series featuring a team of young ninjas that battle the forces of evil. LEGO Ninjago is so adored by children it’s spawned a feature-length movie and TV show currently in its tenth season!

Best LEGO Ninjago sets:

  1. Green Ninja Mech Dragon
  2. Fire Mech
  3. Destiny’s Bounty
  4. Garmadon’s Volcano Lair
  5. Master Falls
  6. Water Strider
  7. Firstbourne
  8. The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game

Green Ninja Mech Dragon

Originating from The LEGO Ninjago Movie, this 544-piece Green Ninja Mech Dragon set is simply incredible. You get four minifigures, including The Green Ninja, Wu, Garmadon, and Charlie, plus the impressive Green Ninja Mech Dragon itself. This beast features articulated snapping jaws, fully posable body, wheel-activated swooshing tail, two leg-mounted stud shooters, and two hidden pop-out thrusters. Talk about one cool LEGO Ninjago set!

Fire Mech

In addition to the above dragon, there are even more fantastic mechs in the LEGO Ninjago series. The Fire Mech is a standout with its 36 cm-high stature, opening minifigure cockpit, two shoulder disc shooters, and two arms with non-shooting fire blasters. This set will excite any aspiring LEGO builder with an affinity for mechs—and ninjas too!

At 2,295 pieces, Destiny’s Bounty is one of the largest builds in the entire LEGO Ninjago line. This massive ninja training base features three levels, each featuring a different area for your ninjas to hone their skills. You’ve got the top deck, Wu’s dojo area, and the mid-deck/hull. There’s also a ton of cool accessories included like four golden sais, two golden katanas, a big telescope, two fishing rods, four fish, and so much more.

Who says LEGO Ninjago minifigs can’t enjoy a good old fashioned pirate ship!

Garmadon’s Volcano Lair

Once you’ve built some LEGO Ninjago mechs and characters, they need a place to do battle! Well, it doesn’t get any cooler (or hotter?) than Garmadon’s Volcano Lair. This 521-piece set comes with five minifigures including Garmadon, Zane, General #1, Steve, and Four Eyes—plus a shark figure.

Now if that’s not a secret lair worthy of ninja battling, I don’t know what is!

Master Falls

This Master Falls 312-piece set is another great setting for epic ninja battles. Featuring minifigures of beloved LEGO Ninjago characters like Wu and Kai, and a four-armed version of the villainous Jungle Garmadon, you’ve got the essentials for hours of make-believe fun. Any child that’s gone through the effort of setting up this tropical zone won’t be disappointed!

Water Strider

The final mech on my list, Water Strider, is one of the most unique LEGO Ninjago sets. It features a 360-degree rotating and opening cockpit, 6-stud rapid shooter, and four posable legs with disc-shaped feet. Imagine all the creative ways you could position this huge mech!

Consisting of 494 pieces, this intricate mech is a particularly fun build.

Here’s something you probably haven’t thought of before: what would happen if a dragon fought a helicopter? With the LEGO Ninjago Firstbourne set you can see for yourself!

Starting with Firstbourne the dragon, this winged beast features a removable minifig saddle, majestic foil wings with flapping function, and has posable legs, feet, neck, jaws, and tails. Next up is the HunterCopter, a detailed copter that includes a minifig cockpit, rotor-spinning function, two stud shooters, and a Vengestone Chain for decoration.

Six fan-favourite characters are also in the box, and they are Kai, Cole, Heavy Metal, Jet Jack, Chew Toy and Muzzle. You can place any one of these minifigs on Firstbourne’s back, then fly through the air as you dodge incoming missiles from the HunterCopter. Cool!

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game

Son or daughter can’t get enough of LEGO Ninjago? If so, how about also picking The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game! This video game, which is based on the film, is a fantastic cooperative multiplayer title the whole family can enjoy. The game will take you through iconic moments from the film, all recreated with fun LEGO humour.

The game is available across all major platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so no matter your preference you can have a blast playing!
