Baked Maple Salmon

Fresh salmon doesn't need a lot of flash to taste delicious, but this maple-soy glaze adds a delicately sweet, nutty finish to each flaky fillet. With a cook time of just 20 minutes, how long it takes to make is up to you. The salmon is baked in the marinade for extra saucy results, so if you're short on time, a quick marinade will deliver delicious results, too.

    Stir maple syrup, soy sauce, sesame oil and garlic powder in a small bowl.

    Spray a 9x13-in baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange salmon in prepared dish. Pour marinade over salmon. Cover tightly with plastic. Marinate in refrigerator 4 hours, or overnight.

    Remove salmon from the refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Remove plastic.

    Position rack in centre of oven, then preheat to 400°F.

    Bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of fish reads 158°F, about 20 minutes.
