Banana Split Ice Cream Cake

A no-bake cake that never fails to make everyone smile. Made with layers of vanilla ice cream and crushed cookies, peanuts and chocolate fudge. Serve this cake with fresh sliced banana, whipped cream and cherries.

Tip: Set out a variety of ice cream sundae toppings and let guests dress their own slices!

    Combine crushed cookies with melted margarine in a medium bowl. Use your fingertips to mix until combined. Press mixture into a 9x13-in baking dish.

    Cut carton away from ice cream with scissors. Arrange ice cream on its side, then cut into 4 slices lengthwise. Arrange 2 ice cream slices flat in prepared dish, pressing to form an even layer.

    Stir fudge syrup with 3/4 cup peanuts in a medium bowl, then evenly spread over ice cream layer. Top with remaining 2 ice cream slices, pressing to form an even layer. Freeze, covered, 4 hours or until ready to serve.

    To serve, top ice cream cake with bananas. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup peanuts. Top with your other favourite banana split toppings such as caramel syrup, strawberries, whipped cream or maraschino cherries, if desired. Serve immediately.
