
Grilled Ham & Cheese Sandwich Recipe

Preheat barbecue to medium.

Drizzle tomato slices and bell pepper pieces with 1 tbsp oil. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper.

Brush one side of bread slices with remaining 1 tbsp oil on a cutting board. Flip bread slices. Top 4 bread slices with cheese, leaving a ½-in border around edges.

Oil grill. Arrange tomatoes, bell peppers and all bread slices, oiled-side-down, on grill. Barbecue, lid closed, until cheese begins to melt and vegetables are tender, about 2 minutes for the bread, and about 2 to 4 minutes per side for vegetables.

Layer cheese-topped bread slices with grilled tomatoes and peppers, then slices of ham. Top with remaining bread, grilled-side-up. Serve immediately.
