55-minute recipe Serves 6
Broccoli florets smothered in a creamy cheese sauce make this a family favourite side dish. And it's worth making the cheese sauce from scratch to get amazing results. Position rack in centre of oven, then preheat to 350°F. Spray a 2-L baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil. Stir in chicken stock until stock melts and sauce is thickened, about 2 minutes.

  • 4

Remove from heat, then stir in 1 cup cheese. Let stand 1 minute. Stir in broccoli and Dijon. Transfer mixture into prepared dish.

Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese over casserole. Continue baking until cheese is melted, about 5 more minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
