Directions

Prep: 5 mins | Cook: 10 mins
  • 1

Using a paring knife, cut down the length of the banana peels, leaving a 1/2-inch at both ends uncut. Form a pocket by lightly pulling the peel and bananas apart to reveal the fruit.

  • 2

Fill each fruit pocket with ingredients (See Smores Boat , Breakfast Boat or Chocolate Cookie Boat options). Set toppings aside.

  • 3

Place each banana on its own 12-inch square of parchment paper lined overtop heavy-duty aluminum foil. Crimp and shape around each banana to form a boat.

  • 4

Cook each banana over campfire (or in a covered BBQ) over medium-high heat until ingredients are melted, about 6 to 10 minutes .

  • 5

Remove with tongs and carefully open paper and foil; sprinkle with toppings overtop, according to your "Banana Boat" flavour of choice—Smores, Breakfast or Chocolate Cookie.

Quick Tip: For a fun stay-at home treat, cook the banana boats in a covered BBQ and serve with pre-scooped vanilla ice cream for an unforgettable banana sundae dessert.

Budget Watch: Look for bulk-sized pantry ingredients for the best value per weight—a small investment with big savings.
