Cedar-Planked Salmon With Maple Glaze
Immerse plank in water, placing weight on top of plank to keep it submerged. Soak 4 hours.
Preheat barbecue to medium. Place wet plank on grate of barbecue. Heat plank, lid closed, until it starts to crackle and smoke, about 5 minutes. Brush with oil.
Stir dressing and maple syrup in large shallow dish. Add salmon, turning them over to evenly coat both sides. Remove salmon from dressing mixture, discarding dressing mixture. Place salmon on plank. Top with onions.
Grill salmon, lid closed, until an instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of fish reads 158°F, about 20 minutes.
