Puff Pastry Cheese Twists
Position rack in centre of oven, then preheat to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
Unroll puff pastry sheet, leaving it on the parchment paper it comes packaged in. Brush liberally with beaten egg, discarding any extra. Sprinkle seasoning salt overtop, then evenly scatter with cheese.
Fold pastry sheet in half with the paper still attached, firmly press to help both sides sick together. Freeze to firm slightly, about 15 minutes.
Remove pastry from freezer and peel back paper from one side. Cut widthwise into twelve 2-cm wide strips. Working with one at a time, twist each strip 3 to 4 times. Arrange on prepared sheet 1-in apart. Press each end to stick it onto the parchment. (If the dough gets too soft to work with, return it to freezer for a few minutes to firm up.)
Bake, rotating sheet halfway through, until puffed and lightly browned, about 15 to 18 minutes. Serve warm, or cool to room temperature and store in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days.
