French Dip Beef Burger Recipe

Serve this juicy beef burger recipe just like a French dip sandwich! Toast burger buns on the grill with Swiss cheese once the beef patties are cooked. Serve with beef stock for dipping.

    Preheat barbecue to medium.

    Combine ground beef with half of beef stock in a medium bowl. Divide into 8 portions. Shape each into a patty. Press a shallow indent in centre of each with your thumb.

    Oil grill. Barbecue burgers, with lid closed, until cooked through and an instant-read thermometer inserted into burger reads 160°F, about 5 to 6 minutes per side.

    Meanwhile, combine water and remaining beef stock in a medium saucepan set over high. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring often, until stock melts, about 2 minutes. Divide broth between 4 small bowls.

    Layer burgers and cheese between buns. Serve with broth for dipping into.
