Spice-Rubbed Flank Steak

Spice-Rubbed Flank Steak

15-minute recipe Serves 6
A quick spice rub can make a world of difference when making bbq steaks. This four-ingredient rub (plus oil) paves the way for a perfectly crisp char and earthy flavour.

Tip: Let meat sit for five minutes after grilling so the delicious juices don't get lost when it's time to slice the steaks.

Oil grill. Barbecue steak, with lid closed, for 4 minutes. Flip, then continue barbecuing until an instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of steak reads 145°F for medium-rare, 3 to 5 more minutes. Transfer steak to a cutting board and let stand 5 minutes, then thinly slice across the grain. Transfer to a platter along with any juices.
