Great Canadian Cheese-Curd-Stuffed Burgers
Preheat barbecue to medium, then line a baking sheet with foil.
Stir cheese curds, parsley and oil in a small bowl. Set aside.
Whisk egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion powders, thyme, Dijon, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Crumble in beef and stir until combined.
Gently shape into 8 balls. Press a deep well into the centre of a ball with your thumb. Fill with about 2 tsp of the cheese curd mixture. Gently pinch beef over curd mixture to seal and shape into a patty, about ½-in. thick.
Place on sheet and repeat with remaining ingredients.
Oil grill and barbecue burgers, lid closed and flipping halfway, until burgers are cooked through, 10 to 12 min.
Grill peameal bacon, 1 min per side. Stack burgers, peameal and favourite toppings between buns.
