    Combine tomato sauce, maple syrup, chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, vinegar, garlic and salt in a blender.

    Purée until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl with chicken and toss to combine. Let stand 30 to 45 minutes.

    Preheat barbecue to medium-high. Oil grill and barbecue chicken, lid closed and flipping once, until chicken is cooked through, 12 to 15 minutes.
