One-Pot Pasta

20-minute recipe Serves 4
This one-pot pasta is cooked in homestyle stock, garlic and cherry tomatoes. Ready in 20 minutes, it's an amazingly easy way to get dinner on the table (less dishes, and only one pot to watch!). Tip: Wait until the end to slice and add the fresh basil. If it gets too hot, it will lose flavour (and turn brown) before you have a chance to dig in.

    Stir chicken broth with water in a 5-L pot until dissolved. Add linguine, tomatoes, onion, garlic and oil, then bring to a boil over high heat.

    Boil over medium-high, stirring and turning linguine frequently, until linguine is tender and water is almost evaporated, but mixture is still saucy, about 10 minutes.

    Serve with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
