Position rack in centre of oven, then preheat to 350°F. Line a 9x13-in baking pan with overhanging parchment.

Beat cake mix, whipped dressing, water and eggs in a large bowl, using an electric mixer on medium, until combined. Scrape into prepared pan.

Microwave peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl on high for 30 seconds. Stir until completely melted and smooth. Pour over batter, then swirl gently with knife.

Bake until a skewer inserted into centre of cake comes out clean, about 40 to 45 minutes. Immediately sprinkle with chopped chocolate. Transfer to a rack to cool completely. Use parchment handles to remove cake from pan before cutting to serve.
