A fun riff on a classic Canadian dish, this poutine grilled cheese recipe uses hash brown patties as bread, and is packed full of delicious sliced mozzarella and crispy bacon. Serve with warm gravy for dipping to complete the poutine experience.

Prep: 5 mins | Cook: 25 mins

    Heat a large frying pan over medium. Spray with non-stick cooking spray, then add hash browns. Cook until golden and crispy, about 20 minutes, flipping halfway.

    Meanwhile, prepare gravy following package directions.

    Place 1 slice of cheese on top of 2 of the hash browns, then top with 2 slices of bacon. Top with remaining cheese slices, then remaining hash browns.

    Cook, covered, until cheese is melted, about 3 to 4 minutes. Cool 2 minutes then cut before serve.

    Serve with warm gravy for dipping.
