Prep: 40-minute | Cook: 15-minute
  • 1

Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise, then remove and discard seeds.

  • 2

Heat a large frying pan over medium. Crumble in chorizo. Cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is no longer pink, about 7 to 8 minutes. Transfer chorizo to a paper towel-lined plate to drain fat.

  • 3

Stir chorizo with cream cheese and barbecue sauce in a large bowl until combined.

  • 4

Stuff each jalapeno half with cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with bacon.

  • 5

    Preheat barbecue to medium-high.

  • 6

Oil grill. Arrange peppers on grill. Barbecue until jalapeno peppers are tender, about 8 to 10 minutes. Sprinkle with chives, if desired.
