Becel® Cookies with Chocolate Chips
Tip: Using both brown and white sugar creates the ideal balance between allowing the cookie to spread while baking and keeping the right amount of chewiness and moisture for eating.
Position rack in centre of oven, then preheat to 375°F.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Set aside.
Combine margarine with sugars in a large bowl. Beat, using an electric mixer on medium, until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla until blended. Gradually beat in flour mixture just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Scoop about 1 tbsp of dough and place on a large baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough, placing at least 2 in apart. (You may need to bake multiple batches depending on the size of your baking sheet.)
Bake until edges are golden, about 8 to 9 minutes. Transfer sheet to a rack to cool for 2 minutes. Then remove cookies to rack to cool completely. Repeat with any remaining dough.
