Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Place over high and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium-low, then simmer until potatoes are fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.

Return potatoes to pot. Mash potatoes until smooth.

Stir in mayonnaise, milk, salt and pepper.
