Combine milk, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium saucepan set over medium. Bring to a gentle boil (watch carefully). Stir in oats. Return to a boil, then reduce heat to medium.

Cook, stirring occasionally, until most of liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes.

Remove oatmeal from heat. Stir in mashed bananas and pecans. Divide oatmeal amongst six cereal bowls. Top with sliced bananas and more pecans, if desired.
