What’s better than a juicy, homemade turkey burger? A juicy turkey burger recipe with chipotle aioli and avocado relish. Be sure to top those burgers (grilled to perfection, we’re sure) very generously.

    For the Chipotle Mayo: Combine 1 cup mayonnaise, chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, half of lime juice, Dijon and honey in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

    For the Avocado Relish: Combine avocado, tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, salt, black pepper and remaining lime juice in a medium bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

    For the Turkey Burger: Combine turkey, green onions, egg, bread crumbs, sunflower seeds, soy sauce and remaining 1/4 cup mayo in a large bowl. Divide into six equal portions and roll each into a ball. Refrigerate until barbecue comes to temperature.

    Preheat barbecue to medium-high.

    Remove turkey balls from refrigerator. Using your hands, gently flatten each ball into a patty.

    Oil grill. Barbecue turkey burgers until an instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of burgers reads 165°F, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Toast buns on the grill during last 1 minute of grilling burgers.

    Assemble burgers by spreading bottom buns with chipotle mayo. Top with burger, then avocado relish. Sandwich with top bun.
