Homemade Hummus Recipe

A classic yet simple dip made with chickpeas, lemon juice, cumin and garlic (with vegetable soup mix for added texture and flavour). Tip: Let hummus chill in the fridge so the flavours can mix and mingle. Serve with sliced carrots, cucumbers, celery and crackers.

    Place garlic in a food processor. Whirl until finely chopped. Add chickpeas, soup mix, water, oil, lemon juice and cumin. Whirl until smooth, or to your desired consistency.

    Scrape into a bowl. Refrigerate, covered, at least 2 hours before serving. Serve with fresh vegetables for dipping.
